Indian Railway Board Chairman VK Yadav said on Saturday that the Railways will conduct the first phase of computer-based examination from December 15. Yadav told in a virtual briefing that these examinations will be conducted to fill approximately 1.40 lakh posts in three categories. There are three types of vacancies – non-technical popular category (guard, clerk etc.), separate and ministerial and level 1 (track mentor, pointsman etc.). Railway Minister Piyush Goyal has also announced the exam dates on Twitter.
